Hello all, I got some pipes given to me that were my great grandfathers. I would like to get them back into smoking shape.

Some of them need the stems replaced but on Grabow's site, they don't show any. Can anyone help me find some replacement stems for these?

Stems are typically unique and generally require sending them off to get them refitted. The Dr. Grabow factory still offers this kind of work. You can contact them from their website: https://www.drgrabow.net/

Do these have a stinger like in the pictures here? https://pipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Grabow |

If those were mine, ’d drop an email to Grabow from their website and see what they charge. especially if these hold a sentimental value to you. To get the Grabows with metal pieces back in smoking order, that’s your best option.

An alternative for nonmetal ones is too look up forever stems and see if they fit. You’ll need to take some measurements. Walker Briar Works used to make them, but the owner retired in 2020. (I have two for my cobs… very nice.) I see Vermont Freehand sells some too. If you are handy you could order some stem blanks from Vermont Freehand and try your hand at shaping your own stems. I emailed them through the page. I would like to keep them original as I can as they do h old sentimental value. Hoping they still do this, would love to get these back in usable shape.
