CI Suggestions needed
So thanks to a link to a promo that Eric (Smokin5) posted a number of months back, I picked up a bunch of 10-packs for the troops and each one came with a $20 CI gift card.
I have a lot of gift cards to spend on the troops. What's a good deal and what doesn't suck? I'm going for quantity, but don't want to send them dog rockets. A good $2/cigar is great. A $1.50/cigar deal for something decent is spectacular. A $3/cigar that comes with a good bonus deal is awesome. Or, good cigarillos / minis in tins that work out to $5-8/tin are good too (or thereabouts). Small (corona-ish) sized cigars are good. Flavored/infused are popular, but it looks like I missed the closeout deals on the decent flavors and all they have left is "cinnamon-urinal cake w/ sprinkles" flavor. Any input is appreciated as I am so out of touch with NC cigars these days. |

Re: CI Suggestions needed
Some ideas to get you started:
- 5 Vegas Classic Corona is $62 for a box of 25. 5 Vegas Series 'A' Anomaly is a tasty Maduro and comes in at just under three bucks a stick for a box of 20. - Gran Habano 3 SLS Robusto is <$2.50/stick - Room 101 Daruma Gold is currently on sale for $69.99 for the short coronas. - HC Series Maduro2 has a special going, take an additional $20 off per box making them <$2.50/stick for Robustos - I've not had the Sons of Anarchy by Black Crown but know some people that enjoy them; $49.99 for 30 corona - CI's Ligero-Laced Seconds are Oliva Cains that just didn't quite make the cut and are a great deal at <$2.30/stick. A couple are available in corona. - Some good samplers: -- CI's Grand Slam Summer Sizzler -- AJ Fernandez Chosen One Sampler -- Honduransanity Mega-Sampler -- CI's Backyard Boogie Mega-Sampler

Not sure how refined my tastes are, but on the cheap side, I like the Mark Twain ($2.35) and Villiger ($1.00) Connecticuts.

Re: CI Suggestions needed
I've smoked a box or so of these about 6 years back and they were ok.
La Auroura Leoninos http://www.cigarsinternational.com/c...rora-leoninos/ They are on sale for $30 for a box of 20 robustos.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'm looking around at stuff this morning.
Different vendor, but does anyone have any comments on the La Finica mixed filler cigars from JR? |

Re: CI Suggestions needed
These didn't do much for me, but seems low risk:
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=71859 Never had La Finca, but looks like you can do the long-filler ammo box right now for about the same $per

Thanks Dave! Too funny, after my first post in this thread today I was poking around on CI and stumbled into the Room 101 deal and bought a few boxes, probably right at the same time you were posting the link. Yeah, the ammo can cigars were the ones I was looking at. |
