Re: First Firearms II
Ammo is gonna calm back down after a while, but you might as well stock up anyways. 'They' are going to try the ban again...As for me I have at least 1000 rds. for every AR I own, now it's time to go 308..

Re: First Firearms II
My Wally World has a can of ZQI 556 720rds thats been sitting in the bottom of the cabinet for over a year now. I don't own a 223/556 but I'm amazed that can has survived through the recent stir..

I can remember my first turkey shoot, I was 7 or 8. They gave me a .410. Not a problem. Then they gave me the 20 gauge. Not a problem. I was listening careful to all the numbers and paying attention to the ammo, thought it was odd the .410 felt like the 20 gauge and was getting pretty cocky. And sloppy. So the old man handed me the 12 gauge which promptly jacked me in the shoulder, rattled my teeth and sat me on my ass. Fixed the cocky and sloppy IMMEDIATELY.

Scott I was that same cocky kid at that age Weighed a whole 130 lbs and the 12 ga almost knocked me on my but too. Gave me a whole new respect for firearms.

What's this button do?

3.5 lb. single stage seems more of a target trigger than a tactical assault trigger to me. Maybe sharpshooting is the tactic. I'd like to get something like that for my Colt 20" HBAR. I think it has large pins. I know the receiver pins are different.

Re: First Firearms II
typically target guns use a 2 stage trigger. they make them for large pins too

Re: First Firearms II
Not so much the single stage but the 3.5 lbs seems a little light to me. A little easy to set off. I have a Rem 700 7mm with a trigger like that and you just take up a little slack then think about the next bit a little too much and it shoots. It's easy too get used to and I like it much better than the squishy triggers on my ARs. I've never used it for hunting, I like my old 30-06 better for that. The 7mm is great for shooting stuff at the quarry at around 300 yds.

Re: First Firearms II
Its been my experience once you are used to that lighter pull it really does become more of a thought process to shoot and is easier to be more accurate.

Re: First Firearms II
As you can see by my post count I'm more of a reader , but I'd figured I'd contribute..Reorganizing the safe so I set aside the .223/5.56's to show you guys. From Left to Right:
DDMK18 IWI Tavor w/aimpoint PRO and vortex magnifier SWMP15 Magpul Edition with 4X32 Acog, and Leupold Deltapoint on the offset, can is a M42000 Up top is a colt lower with a 10.3" LH upper, and a DD RIS II rail (yes I know I'm retarded, but shooting a RH rifle suppressed sucks as a LH'er ) |
