Favorite Aromatic blends?
My wife likes the nice smelling tobaccos. That's a plus for me as I don't get so much flack for smoking it. Light up Squadron Leader and her countenance changes. NOT for the positive either!
Go back to Tobac Noir or Anniversary Kake or some of the Boswell blends and she is mellow. She even baked cookies this week. So with that in mind are their any interesting tobaccos that I should or must try that will also smell nice if she comes around? Your favorites would be my must try. Never enough tobacco or pipes you know! |

Re: Favorite Aromatic blends?
I just got some 7th St Blond from Drew Estate. It's pretty good and my wife liked it.

Re: Favorite Aromatic blends?
I don't have much to compare it to, but I just picked up some Hearth and Home Eggnog and really enjoyed it. Also got some H&H VT Meat Candy as well. Haven't tried a bowl yet but I know it's a pretty popular blend.

Re: Favorite Aromatic blends?
I have found that I generally don't enjoy aromatics but my favorite is actually a creation recommended to me by RevSmoke. It's a 50/50 mixture of the Dan Sweet Vanilla and McClelland 5100.
I purchased a 1.76 oz tin of Dan Sweet Vanilla online and my local shop sells the McClelland in bulk, so I had them measure out an equal amount for me. I dumped both of these into a mason jar and gave it a good mix. Turned out great and I love smoking it. |

Re: Favorite Aromatic blends?
I just found two more on a trial from P&C. CAO Eileen's Dream Irish Cream & White Chocolate Truffles. and Officer's Club (East India Trading Co)
The CAO is just lovely. It seems a bit wet but burned fine. It is very mild and smelled better burning than in the tin. Lovely smoke. Rich and deep like Chocolate. The Officers Club is a bright mild Vanilla from Viginias, Burley, Black Cavendish, and rum. This one is the winner of the two. Just lovely. |

Re: Favorite Aromatic blends?
I bought a pound of tobacco from some website I don't even remember the name of. It was a house blend called Enchanted Forest. It has a pleasant smell and isn't too heavy on the aro taste in my opinion. I still have like 1/2 pound left.
So if any of you are interested in trying some of it, let me know and I will send you all some. It has been aging for about 8ish years!
