In some belief systems it is said that the deceased experiences a self judgement in which they live their actions through the eyes of those effected. If we wrong someone, we feel what it was like for that person.

I don't watch the news because it sucks. It keeps me firmly placed in a bubble of ignorance that isolates me from the suck in the world.
