Voynich manuscript
For those who follow the many attempts to decipher the Voynich manuscript, here is a new academic work. The paper is probably too dry, but the video isn't bad. The professor will be in Portland next month to receive an award, so if he plans to present some of the work, I'll try to snag a ticket (the bennies of being ex-faculty).

Never heard of this before, but I did some reading into and it is very interesting. Thanks Mark!

Re: Voynich manuscript
I love reading and following the history of the attempts to translate the Voynich manuscript. One of the top ten or so mysteries I'd love to see solved.

Re: Voynich manuscript
I actually always thought it was a hoax, it's plausible something that intricate could be created given enough time. All you have to do is look at Serafini's Codex, not saying that Vonynich created it himself, but given how many brilliant people have tried to crack it and gotten basically no where, well to me that sends up a lot of red flags.
Thanks for the link Mark, haven't watched the video yet but will be sure to tomorrow. For anyone interested here is the full digital copy on Yale's site. http://brbl-zoom.library.yale.edu/viewer/1006074 |
