Masterbuilt Electric Smoker
Been checking out the Masterbuilt 30 inch electric smoker. Is anyone currently using this smoker and are you happy with it?
Or is there a better option in the price range ~$200 before I pull the trigger. |

Re: Masterbuilt Electric Smoker
My brother in law has one and I've used it a few times. Extremely easy to use and produces a good finished product every time. I like it but it is almost too easy to use. I prefer an old school smoker that requires me to sit next to it and constantly monitor temperature so there is no other choice but to drink beer and smoke cigars.

Re: Masterbuilt Electric Smoker
I have this one. master forge
I love upright smokers. I have a cast iron skillet that I use in it to make beans and other stuff. you should try it. I payed around $150 for mine at Lowes. pretty good right out of the box.

Re: Masterbuilt Electric Smoker
Can't offer advise on any electric version because I prefer the totally charcoal type. Plenty of threads here on recommendations and the Weber Smoky Mountain gets a lot of good press. I have two and love them. They have 18 and 22 inch versions; the 18 is close to your price range. Very tight, great smoker and I just love it.
