I think you nailed it. I kept thinking there was no way he could pick Opie. This is the genious of Jax, though. He is smart and is pretty good at staying one move ahead.

Tig is going to die.

wonder if that guard has a family and if Jax is willing to green light his wife and kids in the next couple weeks seems like this season is going to be very dark

yeah, good question.

The writers have been watching Breaking Bad, I think. Jax is wrestling with trying to get the club out of running guns (the end goal) and also protecting his club and family. I suspect he is going to take out the guard and send a message to the rest of the guards that if you mess with the Sons... they will mess with you.

Jax is starting to believe it would be better to sacrifice a few for the betterment of the whole.

Good stuff. Actually, I am rethinking my last agreement/comment that Jax "allowed" Opie to volunteer for the pipe by manipulating him.

Yes it was. I felt it was a fitting tribute to a very interesting character. That song playing during the wake was haunting.
It will be interesting to see how they get out from under Pope's finger.
And just when I thought that Tara had supplanted Jemma, Jemma gets her to do her dirty work. That's an interesting power struggle.

Agreed. Setting up some real plot twists and turns....I think Kurt Sutter is going to have some real surprises for us this season....
