Single Expresso testing. Check

Check Latte Macchiato testing. Check Specialty Coffee button (added Caramel to the Latte setting plus more milk and richer blend and 6 oz vs 4 of coffee). Check OK so I got to sleep at 4 AM this morning. "Stopped" at 2:30 today and hopefully I can sleep tonight. Set-up in the office:

...Guess I've ingested so much black tea today that I simply missed page 2 and his check list

Re: Taking the plunge
So fast forward a couple months...
Been loving this thing. It makes great beverages. Using the term beverages is appropriate because well... there are so many varieties of things you can expore. My current favorite is: Macciatto: I put some sugar free syrup - Salted Caramel is current fav and 3 splendas into my cup. Using the button I have programmed - Machine foams milk into the cup for 16 seconds. Have a 14 second pause programmed to let some milk settle out a bit. Then it adds 4 oz of coffee. I have been "topping" with a 2 oz expresso lately... requires pushing another button but seems to fit perfectly what I like. You end up with this 4 layer cool looking beverage in the glass cup. The foam has some flavor from the syrup and Dave is a happily caffinated camper. Sometimes I add a design on the foam using sugar free chocolate syrup.

Some of the stuff the baristas do would really wow my occasional guests, but after many attempts only managed to make a mess on the counter. (looks easy here, but I can't seem to nail it down..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6EuEygqB08 ) Thanks for the update and many happy macciatto's!

Re: Taking the plunge
Where are you getting your beans, Dave? Are you only using espresso blends or are you mixing it up with all kinds?
