I smoked a early sample a month or so ago ROTT, I smoked another sample that I sat on for a month in my humi, another the day the big shipment landed at NHC, and have had a bunch since then. All of them have tasted the same to me, so I would say they are good to go. As long as they don't feel dry to you I'd lit one up.

get ready for a pepper blast at the get go

Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

I really enjoyed the one I've smoked. Glad I grabbed some more.

Default Re: (NHC) Surrogates Cigars Bone Crusher

Tried one of these last night, thanks to EricF, a great brother.

Have to say it was not my thing. Got an inch in and the pepper blast was overwhelming; nothing to it but that. NOT my favorite flavor profile. Actually, I consider extreme amounts of pepper like this more of a sensation than a flavor, since you can't taste anything else while the artillery rains down on your tongue.

I knew my palate has been funny lately so I cut the tip off so Manny and Ivan, who were herfing with me at Cuban Crafters, could give their opinion. Neither disliked it, but both said the overriding impression was pepper, and the undertone was a strange menthol sensation.

Thanks for letting me try one of these, Eric; one more I can cross off my list of things to sample!
