Default bean storage question

I store my roasted beans in one of those plastic containers that clicks shut and stays airtight.

It's kinda oily from the last batch of beans.

Is it necessary to clean it out periodically? My gut says yes.

Gracias.

If you don't mind the added flavor of rancid coffee oils, you should be ok.
