Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Brazil "Sul de Minas"
Our local roaster did this in a city roast. Very nice. But he also did a darker roast for espresso. I had one at the shop today - amazing. The bright and almost citrus impression I get in the light roast drip coffee makes a powerful fruit sensation in the espresso. Best espresso I've had since he did another single origin espresso with an ethiopian Sidamo a couple years ago.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
That's so sad. The office coffee here is awful. The cafeteria is OK in a pinch. I bring a large thermos from home.

Nicaragua Nueva Segovia, roasted 4 days ago to FC, drip, splash. Smooth, sweet, little spicey, very nice.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
I've just discovered other people have been a) drinking my coffee, and b) not cleaning the filter machine after using it. Which means a) I need to go roast some Ol' Brown Java ASA-frickin'-P, and b) run my filter machine for a few cycles with no grinds to sanitise it.
Other than this, I'm drinking a Brazilian-Java blend from Whittard's I was kindly given for Christmas.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Panama Boquete Volcancito Estate, roasted 36 hours ago to FC, drip, splash. Mild and smooth, a bit thin. Flavor, body and finish all improve as the cup cools. In fact, it's better cold. Weird!

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Nicaraguan Antigua - very good coffee. Got it at local Sam's; I guess they are closing it out. Whole beans 2.5 pounds for $4.88! I bought four bags of it, so I'm in beans for a while now. I love to find a bargain now and then. You might want to check your local one.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Fresh roasted is the KEY, more than a week old or 2 at the most, you might as well throw it away. That close out stuff you bought was probably roasted a year ago or longer
'Course, depends on how you are making your coffee, too. How fresh the roast is, might not make any difference, if you are using crapy methods or equipment.

Keurig B70, out of a k cup. I don't take my coffee as seriously as cigars so I stick to the k cups.
