Re: I just learned about Swype
I got an Android phone yesterday and it has the Swype feature for typing text. This is the most awesome thing ever. Where was this when I took typing in high school? This would be awesome for people who may be physically disabled or have arthritis. Technology continues to amaze me.

Does it text by voice?

Re: I just learned about Swype
My Droid X has text-by-voice. I have used it, but usually in the car. Sometimes it confuses words if you don't enunciate perfectly, but that is probably expected.
Swype is badass. It can get better, sometimes it just won't acknowledge what you want to type. Not sure if you can add custom words to it, haven't looked into that yet.

Yes, you can add custom words. I added my kids names last night.
I got the Sprint LG Optumis, it's pretty sweet, certainly more useful for my purposes than the Blackberry I replaced. It also has voice texting and voice dialing.

Re: I just learned about Swype
swype allows you to not have to pick up your finger between keys, only between words. It completes words for you and vastly increases you words/min.
