Drew estates is sponsoring a free trip for 15 active duty people. I think you just have to get yourself there. Everything else is included. Check the Drew Estates blog for details.

This is so tempting and it falls on my leave, but I think my family would disown me.

You're welcome guys, this trip was just more than I ever expected or hoped for. Almost a dream, at least to me.

Yeah, I hope the cigar doesn't suck ...

I used an Indonesian Busuki capote (binder), which can be kind of touchy, so until I actually smoke one, I'll be wondering if I should have used an Ecuadorian CT instead...

I'm going to call John Brooke, hopefully tomorrow, and see if he can find a date that we can put together a CA trip. The tobacco plants will go in the ground in a few weeks, so sometime next year - February, March ish will allow viewing the fields when fully planted and the plants have some decent size on them.

Sure thing - I had it written up, but I somehow ended up getting logged out between when I started typing and when I went to post, so it was all lost. I'll write something up again in the next day or so.

The more I read about this, the more I *REALLY* want to go. Maybe I'll have better luck getting the approval from the wife if I classify it as some sort of midlife thing.

I saw these trips a few months ago, and I really wanted to book one but didn't have the funds. From what I remember, they are a little pricey, but I'm sure they are worth every penny and more. I'm guessing all the current trips are filled. The last time I went to that site, I think it showed all empty slots for available trips. I don't see that now. (Unless I'm mistaken)
