La Aroma del Caribe edicion especial #1
As I explained earlier, this La Aroma del Caribe edicion especial #1 is the same as Ashton's La Aroma de Cuba edicion especial #1, but with the European name and band. The cigars are made by Don Pepin Garcia from Nicaraguan tobacco with an Ecuadorian sun grown Cuban seed wrapper. This cigar recently became available on the Dutch market for a price of € 6.00
The cigar is 5⅝x46 big and has a medium dark oily and leathery wrapper with a few thin veins. The wrapper feels quite silky. The smell is strong, an acidic barnyard smell. The construction is great, just like the predraw which tastes as peppery hay. I taste a peppery and herbal earth flavor with some coffee. The pepper fades away after a quarter of an inch. I taste a herbal earthy flavor, quite spicy and the herbs slowly grow to become the main flavor. After a third I taste wood with some herbs and a tiny bit of nutmeg on the background, which disappears before I reach the mid of the cigar. After two thirds I taste pepper, herbs and a carrot like flavor which I only tasted in an Oliva V maduro once. This cigar gave me ninety minutes of pleasure. I got a nice medium thick white smoke and a good draw. The burn is good too. The ash is dark, coarse and not firm at all. This cigar is full flavored and full bodied. Would I buy this cigar again? Yeah, probably not a whole box, but every now and then a single Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 8 / 10 Draw: 8 / 10 Burn: 7 / 10 Smoke & ash: 7 / 10 Aroma first part: 7 / 10 Aroma second part: 8 / 10 Aroma third part: 7 / 10

Re: La Aroma del Caribe edicion especial #1
Nice review Ferdie. I didn't enjoy the one that I had...the earthy taste lingered too long for me.

Re: La Aroma del Caribe edicion especial #1
I didn't have the EE, but I had a robusto size from the regular line of La Aroma de Cuba and it was good. I think I paid 4 or 5 bucks for it, so it was worth the money. Thanks for the review!
