Xikar V cutter
So, i purchased this from cigars international and received it today. it's built like a tank and as sharp as any blade i have. I wanted to try a V cutter because i like the idea of more surface area to smoke with and it seems to be doing well with the 2 cigars i've cut with. I'm mostly a punch guy but i'm really liking this cutter now. what do you prefer? God bless you all!

Re: Xikar V cutter
I have one of these as well, and love it. I go back and forth in whether I like that or a straight cut. I sometimes even use a punch

Re: Xikar V cutter
I have never liked a Punch of V cut, always liked a thin straight cut. I tend to brush my tongue to the end and with a punch the end becomes to wet.
Looks nice

I have a the same cutter. I use it when I think that the head of the cigar is likely to be tight. Can be hell on wrappers if you aren't careful.
For me, it's just another tool in my cigar arsenal.

I've got one and like it a lot. Yet a realized it's been a couple months since I did anything but a straight cut.

Re: Xikar V cutter
I love the deep v cut, I use the Colibri. As mentioned above, it can reek havoc on the wrapper, which I have noticed more lately... What am I doing wrong.

I've used this a few times now and am really liking how much this really opens up the draw especially on cuban cigars. even the tight draws pull better on a v-cut. This cutter is built like a tank and with xikars warranty you can't go wrong.

I like the Xikar V cutter, but it is so big that it’s cumbersome to carry around.

Re: Xikar V cutter
I like a V-cut on cigars with well rounded dome-like heads.
Unlike my head that is box-pressed.

Re: Xikar V cutter
I need another V cutter. I've always liked the cut, but I went back to the guillotine for whatever reason.....heck, it's been so long since I've had a smoke I'm not sure I can find my cutter anyways.
