Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch
Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Shade Grown Corojo Maduro Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Nicaragua Length: 6″ Ring Gauge: 44 Size: Lonsdale (Orpheus) I'll start with the fact that I am a big fan of the original and am not a big maduro fan. However, this new corojo maduro version of GotF has instantly become a favorite! While I have had each size a few times, I really prefer the Orpheus. (lonsdale) The original blend was a collaboration with Warped Cigars & Aganorsa, but this one is solely the work of Max Fernandez of Aganorsa Leaf. Construction is flawless. The dark, chocolate brown wrapper glistens and the closed foot begs to be lit. And it exudes a luscious, dark tobacco aroma. Dry draw is tasty! On the light, slight sweetness with a pronounced maduro flavor but a bit different as Aganorsa is the only company using a shade-grown corojo maduro. Hints of chocolate, and at times vanilla with a slight edge of spice. Smooth as smooth can be. The medium finish leaves you wanting more. Like I said, it's become an instant favorite. |

Re: Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch
Excellent review!! Very accurate description of the profile too imo. I've smoked 2 of the Nightwatches out of a box I have and I was really impressed with it as well, so much so that I'd like to give the box a bit of a nap to see how it performs down the road.
I also think the wrapper gives the blend a nice, darker twist on the original Guardian blend. I know they use that wrapper on a few other cigars now...the only one I can remember atm is that Lunatic perfecto, I forget the exact name. But I certainly plan to check that one out as well. Thanks for the review!! |
