Mounting a TV
I want to mount a TV on the wall, but what solutions are there for hiding the cable box?
I was thinking of a Sonos sound bar or speakers along with it.

Re: Mounting a TV
Regrettably, I couldn't hide my cable boxes. With FIOS HD, I have to change the channels via the box; the remote infrared needs line of sight to the cable box. I did use plastic cable 'cordmate' tracks from Home Depot to clean up the cables a little bit. I'm a long way from being skilled (or confident?) enough to run cables inside the walls.

Re: Mounting a TV
You can get infrared extender cables that receive the signal on a little lens. So you can hide the DVR and stick the new receiver in a plant or something. But you still have the wires to the from the DVR to the TV.

Re: Mounting a TV
So, after poking around online, it looks pretty straight forward. I need a wall mount that holds the DVR, Cable Box, Etc... behind the TV and may need an IR extender.

Re: Mounting a TV
depending on what's on the other side of the wall, I mounted mine on a wall next to a closet and ran all the wires thru the wall and put the box on a shelf in the closet, and just got an infrared cable on amazon for like 5 bucks.
