Phillies chocolate
This is another flavored cigar that was send to me by Volt as a joke, he already relieved me from my duties to review it, but I gave him my word and what am I if my word isn’t good enough anymore? The other reviews are here, here and here
This is a 5 inch ring 41 cigar with a dark wrapper, nice and clean, but it’s no real tobacco. The wrapper is tobacco paper. There is a little hole in the back so you don’t need to cut the cigar. The aroma is sweet and not recognizable. At the predraw I could actually taste some chocolate, but a cheap, bad, chemical chocolate while I like the high quality dark chocolate. After lighting the cigar the chocolate flavor disappears and it’s just a chemical sweetness. The tobacco paper leaves a strange ash, but the draw, smoke and burn are good. This isn’t a good cigar, no way, but it is not as worse as the Lars Tetens Gorillafinger or the Phillies Peach and White Owl pineapple I smoked before. Would I buy this cigar again? A simple NO is the answer to this question. Construction: 14 / 20 Draw: 12 / 20 Appearance: 8 / 20 Smoke & ash: 7 / 10 Burn: 7 / 20 Aroma (first part) 4 / 10 Aroma (middle part) 4 / 10 Aroma (last part) 4 / 10

Re: Phillies chocolate
Well ... that looks pretty awful.
Thanks for the review DF. I think I'll just cross those off my list of smokes to try. |

Keeping your word is of the utmost importance. And once again, you've impressed me with your resolve. Nicely done.

Re: Phillies chocolate
and I have a few more. A hookah melon, Swisser Sweet, White Owl grape,CAO Eileen's dream and I am in an Acid Purple pass. But once I am done with those I won't review any more flavored cigars, so an important message to all the sadistic jokers out there: DON'T SEND ME FLAVORED CIGARS, I WON'T SMOKE THEM!

Re: Phillies chocolate
Thanks for the reviews, I love them! So, the Phillies is the best one so far. I am waiting for the CAO review to see if there is ANY cigar that can be flavored with good draw, construction, burn, ash, color, etc. As for taste, well, I am sure that part is subjective with everyone.

Dear Lord, Thank You.

Re: Phillies chocolate
Hey Don, I can see from the pics why you didn't enjoy the Phillies.
You're supposed to leave the wrapper ON. The cellophane wrapper is where all the nuance comes from. The thick, black smoke from the cello wrapper is intended to intermingle with the regurgitated filler to provide a unique smoking experience. Try another one and leave the wrapper on. You'll be pleasantly surprised!!!
