Rest In Peace Peter O'Toole
O'Toole's first major film success came in the title role of T.E. Lawrence in "Lawrence of Arabia" in 1962. It earned him the first of eight Academy Award nominations.

AW DAMMMIT, I guess this is what being old does for you, all around you, your favorites start to drop like
flies. SO MANY left to go, I will not mention them lest I jinx their long and productive lives. Rest in Peace, Po'T |

Re: Rest In Peace Peter O'Toole
I remember watching Lawrence of Arabia (the first time) on the big screen back in 1962, and being blown away by the pure beauty and vast spectacle. It is a timeless flick, as was OToole's performance.
Rest in peace, sir.

Re: Rest In Peace Peter O'Toole
One of the great actors of his generation and in time may prove top be one of the greatest for all generations. Even at 81 he was still actively working as the man loved what he did and when someone has a passion for what they do it shows in the work and for him it really did show. RIP!

Re: Rest In Peace Peter O'Toole
I wonder if he will get his wish.
"Many years ago I had a beloved leather jacket... and I never wanted to throw it away. "I sent it to the cleaners because it was covered in blood and Guinness and scotch and Corn Flakes, the usual. "It went off to the Sycamore Cleaners and it came back with a thing pinned on it: 'It distresses us to return work which is not perfect' - so I want that on my tombstone." RIP Sir
