Carlos Torano Fortress Double Robusto Review
Cigarbid $2. Retail $5.
5.5"x56 Prelight: Cedar, sweet tobacco, sour citrus note 1st 1/3 Semi sweet cedar note, toast, lite red pepper, lite earth Draw a little tight The red pepper is becoming the top note with the spice and sweetness forced into the background. Hoping the pepper drops out in the 2nd 1/3 Burn is pretty straight so far. 2nd 1/3 The pepper has faded a lot making me happy. Lots of creamy smoke with notes of wood, caramel, spice. Tasty cigar, need to slow down to get the sweet note to showing themselves better. The cooler I keep the burn, the sweeter and more intense the flavors. I note that the red pepper now in the background is welcome in how it complements the other note so well in the balancing act. The draw needs to be more open and hoping it dose by the last 1/3 This is an exceptional inexpensive smoke, best one in the low price range for sure. Final 1/3 Baby will go out if not paid attention to by minute 2 Has a cognac flavor on the lips also now, dam $2. ? beats a lot of $10 cigars Burn is perfect except for going out over 2 minutes but the draw has a lot to be desired Wrapper if fraying in the last 1/3 now, just before the cigar band Very creamy smoke with that sweet cognac flavor going strong and that red pepper in the background. Get a few of these bad boys, well worth the price even with the construction issues and poor draw. Smoke time 1 hour 7.5 out of 10
