Jack Reacher, a HIT!
Tom Cruise pulled it off. I am a HUGE fan of Lee Child and his Reacher series. This was a really good movie, fun to watch. If they make any more of these, I'll be going to see them. And I'm not much of a movie guy.
Anybody else see it yet? I recommend for all Reacher fans as well as Tom Cruise "action" film fans.

Re: Jack Reacher, a HIT!
I am a fan too. I have been wanting to see it but Tom cruise movies are hit and miss. Thanks for the heads up. Is the movie based on one of the books?

Re: Jack Reacher, a HIT!
"One Shot" and it follows it close enough, so if you read it you know what is going on. Of course, they added and took away. Had to add the obligatory car chase scene
I REALLY did like it. I wasn't sure how Cruise could pull it off, but Lee Child said he was happy with the casting, and that was enough to get me to go. Glad I did. And surprisingly, at a 15 showing, it was an almost full house Glad we got there early.

Re: Jack Reacher, a HIT!
I saw it with my wife last Saturday and we both enjoyed the movie. My wife had not read any of the books and did not feel lost or left out during any part of the movie.
It will be interesting to see if they make sequels -- after all Tom needs the money

Huh ......
It was OK, Skyfall was easily 100X better.
Reacher: 6'5"/250 in the books, 5'7"/170 in the Cruise. Sorry, doesn't compute.

Re: Huh ......
I agree, size wise, it doesn't. But in toughness, fighting skills and personality, I thought Cruise pulled it off. He was the "big guy" in a smaller package.

Re: Jack Reacher, a HIT!
I enjoyed it too, but there were some spots where I thought it was MOVIE reaching, not Jack Reacher.
Overall, very entertaining and worth the $4.50 I paid to see it. |

I'll wait for the DVD. By that time, maybe it will have made enough money to pay for all the wrecked Super Sports.
