My Dad's McDonald's commercial circa 1978
It's crazy what turns up on Youtube! I just stumbled on this. My Dad (Tall one on right) and his buddy Jim made this commercial back in 1978. Dad died 3 years later of a heart attack (probably too many Egg McMuffins lol) anyway, it's a funny commercial and didn't go as scripted really at all. There's a spot in it where Dad was supposed to get the line right, but blew it anyway and shakes his head "no", then he proceeds to give Jim so much **** during it that Jim can't ever get the line right either. The producers like the back and forth so much they left the commercial as it was and it ran for quite a while nationwide.
What a bizarre thing to stuble across all these years later. Thought I'd share with my friends here. Enjoy:

Re: My Dad's McDonald's commercial circa 1978
I tell you, it's a pretty crazy thing to find. All pics I had were destroyed, so my kids never even really knew what he looked like. Now they can see him and hear him and also get a glimpse of his sense of humor that has been passed down to them.
He passed 12/28/81 at just 48 years old. In that commercial, he was the same age that I am now.

I remember that commercial. It is much funnier now, knowing the whole story.

I too remember that one
Love his humor. It sucks to lose your parents, especially if you are young when they pass. I lost my dad when I was 7, and I have very few pics and fewer memories.
