Xikar Element / Lights Only On Second Try

I recently bought a Xikar Element and I'm having a slight issue with it. It lights on the second time, every time. Never, not once, on the first attempt. Always on the second attempt though, without fail. It's not a huge deal, but I wondered if I'm doing something wrong?

I had this issue, it was because I was pressing the button to quickly. If i slowed down a bit, it works on the 1st time, everytime.

Well this is odd. I tried going slower when pressing the button, and not only did that not work, but when I do that it makes it not always light on the second try.

Sounds like it needs a trip back to Xikar for repair or replacement.

Try turning down the flame. Sometimes I've found the Xikars are temperamental on full flame.

If not send it in to Xikar.
