Default Dirk Benedict's Cigars

I've got a friend who is a big Battlestar Galactica fan. I'd like to get him some of the same cigars that Dirk Benedict enjoys in real life but I've searched several fan sites and can't find a brand or list of brands.

Any BOTLs out there know of brand or two Mr. Benedict enjoys?

Couldn't find Dirk's brand searching either, but did find this disturbing fan tidbit.

There are a couple pics on Google image with a banded cigar, but these old eyes can't tell what they are....one seems to resemble an RyJ NC.

It's quite possible that the band is just a fictional creation in order to avoid having to pay an actual manufacturer for the right to use a real band.

If he is in character, quite possibly, but I think the pics may be from his off-camera time.

He smoked a Zino on Dutch television once, during an interview.

Some years ago, I was reading an article about Dirk Benedict (this was in the A-Team years), and it mentioned that he smoked Punch Presidentes (one of my favorites for quite a few years), and was giving them out. Even Mr. T was chomping an unlit cigar.

I will bet that, like me, he has gravitated to shorter and thicker.

JD.

my sis was a huge A Team fan when we were youngsters. In 1999, we went to a sci-fi convention in Raleigh and Dirk Benedict was there. He was extremely pleasant and down to earth. If I was a cigar smoker then, it would've been cool to have smoked with him.
