Default Cohiba Black...anyone familiar?

As a fan of the Red Dot, I am curious about the Cohiba Blacks. Does anyone here have experience with these? Ran across a deal on 25 of the Supremos and am wondering about telling the Mrs. I need an early Christmas Gift.

Well first off I think you should tell her about an early christmas gift

I've had a few of these...I LOVE THEM! Had a corona and a robusto tubo. Worth a box purchase IMO.\

EDIT Chit, now I want a box of the tubos.....They were very good.....

Had one when they first came out several years ago - didn't think it was anything noteworthy or worth the price. For perspective, I think the red dots tend to be overpriced as well.

I think every Cohiba NC is overpriced and not worth the dough. I have found MANY other sticks I'd rather spend my money on. And alot cheaper.

Eh $8 a stick I'm paying for the 5.5 X 50 robusto tubos isn't bad. But at a B&M oh yeah you get KILLED on Cohibas. Something like $15 a robusto tubo. They are quite highly priced, I'm sure some of that is for the name Cohiba.

I use to love them when I first started. Haven't had one in years now.

I started on the red dot and have a large supple of all the different vitolas. I Love the black and as said at retail it is to much money. I find myself going to them less now but that is because I am working my way through the thousands of others out there not to mention Cubans.

My trick I never paid retail ever. I would use the JR action and check it all the time The Puro Dominicanos which is one of my favorites and I paid less than half on most and a hair over on a few. My trick was finding auctions ending late night and early morning and bidding at the end, and do NOT pay more than you are comfortable with.

Good Luck!

Dave
