My MRI rant
This morning I went in for my 3rd MRI in a year on my back. First one lead to my surgery and had a 2nd MRI post-op in January. The post-op MRI revealed another bone spur protruding into my spinal column which was causing numbness/tingling in my legs. The surgery went well and for 3-4 months, I had no tingling, but the surgeon did say the symptoms may arise from the other bone spur that wasn't caught the first time. Sure enough, I started experiencing issues form my left knee down to where it feels like it's falling asleep, but without the pins/needles feeling. It's just kinda numb.
I decide to move forward with another possible surgery before the year is up because I've already met my maximum out of pocket expenses for the year and knowing I won't be able to be down that long for nursing school for an 18 month span. Having to lay down in this cocoon while being completely still for over an hour all while signals from your spine to your limbs to move is a joke. I think I'd trade MRI's for a trip to the dentist any day of the week. I finally get through that and attempt to drop off the films at the surgeon's office since I'm at the hospital. I ask if I can drop them off so they can be put in my chart since I'm already at the hospital. She says I should bring them in for my appointment next week. Well excuse me lady if you would have to get off of your freaking ass to put my films in my chart. It's moments like these that make me say that unemployment is still too long with people like this collecting a paycheck. [/rant] |

Seems that some people forget they are in a customer service type job.
