Smokers Please join us Intro. 332, legislation introduced by Council Member Gale Brewer and me, in conjunction with Mayor Bloomberg, that would prohibit smoking in pedestrian plazas and public parks. On Thursday, October 14, 2010, beginning at 1 p.m. in the 14th Floor Committee Room at 250 Broadway (directly across fro...m City Hall in Lower Manhattan), our Committee on Health, chaired by Council Member M.C. Arroyo, and our Committee on Parks and Recreation, chaired by Council Member Melissa Mark-Viverito, will hold a public hearing on Intro. 332. I realize folks have very strong opinions and views about this proposal, and I would encourage everyone, if they can, to attend this hearing. If you would like to testify, please be sure to register with the sergeant-of-arms at 250 Broadway prior to the start of the hearing.
