Padron continues...
Looks like Padron is making good on its idea of continuing the family reserve line with the Padron Family Reserve 46. A corona gorda but quite a bit thicker than the traditional cg, a 5 1/2 by 56. Prices look to be around the same as the 45. On sale September 8th; they're sure to sell well and cause a lot of us financial pain and smoking bliss.

Re: Padron continues...
I love Padron's, but I've never had a 45th, 40th, 80'th or any of 'em, but have always heard good things.

Re: Padron continues...
The 45 is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked, CC or NC, I am sure the 46 will be just as good.
The one nice thing about Padron, even though a box of these will be expensive, at least you know all 10 cigars will be great. Dont' really have to worry about getting duds or tent pegs like you do with some upper end CC's. I have a couple boxes of 1964's, and everyone has been perfect. I have a box of the 45's and only smoked 2, but no issues there either. Have to hand it to them, they are probably the most consistent cigar maker on the planet, especially on their upper tier sticks. |

I have yet to chase down any of the limited releases, but the 64's and 3000s have always been part of my regular rotation. Maybe I can track down a 46 this time. It's funny because just last night I was talking about how 100% consistency is a myth. not so for Padron. I don't know how they do it, but every Padron I've ever smoked has been perfectly blended and rolled. |

Re: Padron continues...
I had a plugged 64 a few weeks ago. The back end had a bunch of stems in it. Disappointed, but my b&m didn't charge me for it since I had to put it down less then half way through.

Re: Padron continues...
The first Padron 64 I smoked kept going out but that might be due to how the B&M stored them. They also gave me a free one which is sitting in my humi to be smoked soon.
This is why I support certain B&M as quantim0 has experienced its the customer service that makes us come back. Looking forward to trying the 45 and 46 if i can find them. |

Re: Padron continues...
At the smoke shop that I hang out, with several friends, we thick the 45 is the best, followed by the 40's, but we have not all had great experiences with the 80TH. I'm sure that we will be trying the 46's when they come out!!!

Re: Padron continues...
I fired up a 64 maddie I'd been sitting on for a while Friday night. Hadn't smoked one in a while. About an inch in I started thinking, why in the hell haven't I smoked the last few of these I've got. Always a treat for the kid and something that tastes that good makes it hard for me to justify the extra coin for the newer releases.
