Default Veiny vs. not veiny?

Hey guys,

I read reviews on this site and other sites in which the reviewer describes a cigar as "veiny" or "not veiny" as it pertains to the looks of a cigar. It's hard for me to grab the concept without seeing a picture of a cigar that would be considered veiny vs. not veiny. Does anyone have a picture of a veiny cigar? a picture of a not veiny cigar?

No pics on hand but the way I see it is a stick I would consider veiny is when you can physically see and feel the veins in the wrapper. This characteristic does not bother me although I do hate when I can feel the veins on my lips while smoking. A non veiny stick to me means you may be able to visually see the veins but the wrapper is super smooth and you can't actually feel them. Another downfall of a real thick veins is it can sometimes screw up the burn.

Umm, she's all yours. What she needs is a sandwich and a piece of cake.

Having cigars that are very veiny is not an issue until you feel it on your lips when you smoke. Good cigars can be veiny, but when they hit your lips, you will not feel a simple bump. The picture #3 provided are informative and hit the gist of what your are asking.

I think sometimes pictures of cigars are "doctored" a bit to help make the wrapper appear smoother. Also, you'll find that shade grown wrappers have less veins, where as sun growns will be rougher.
