When I was a tanker I carried a .45, so I already

This comment made me rofl...
"Heck that’ll buff out…A hundred years from now he won’t even remember he did it."
My sentiments exactly.
I bet it hurt like a mother. I sawed the pads off three of my fingers a couple years ago and it hurt worse than when I broke my back. There's a lot of nerves in there.
I should add...
"Kids, don't try this at home."

Gee the first thing I learned in firearms training was treat every weapon as if it were loaded.

I taught my daughter that years before I taught her how to shoot. When we're at the range, it's gone to "You better hope that thing is chocolate."
She smiles and quits mindlessly pointing it at my head. I hope I survive teaching the kid.

Four excellent firearm safety rules from Jeff Cooper...RULE 2 relates too the toe I think....
Jeff Cooper’s
FOUR
RULES
of
GUN
SAFETY

RULE 1: All guns are always loaded.

RULE 2: Never let the muzzle cover anything you
are not willing to destroy.

RULE 3: Keep your finger off the trigger until your
sights are on the target.

RULE 4: Be sure of your target. (Know what it is, what it is in line with it,
and what is behind it. Never shoot at anything you have not positively identified.)

No mechanical device has a will of its own. A gun never “goes off” unless something causes it to do so. The aspect of safety is central to gunhandling.
Memorize the four principles of firearm safety. Treat them with absolute seriousness. Burn them into your consciousness.

This is just proof that not everyone is meant to own a firearm. It's guys like this that give us responsible gun owners a bad name.

Can't believe he is taking the picture - and not in a hospital.

Quite the souvenir.
