Slow Wireless Router (Linksys WRT160N)

I need some help on this one. I just installed this router and am getting very slow speeds...I have the second fastest comcast internet. Loading pictures and videos is much slower than it was with my old router..a G router. Any suggestions?

First thing I would do is check that you have the latest firmware.

I'd go DD-WRT on that router.

To clarify for Andy in case you're not familiar with DD-WRT. It's a Freeware firmware compatible with many routers.

I was having a problem with my internet recently. I run ATT DSL Extreme 6.0 with a Motorola modem and Apple Airport router.
It finally had slowed down to next to nothing so I got on the phone with them.
We went through a ton of settings, bypassed the Airport to make sure that was not the problem.
Finally got someone from line support on the phone and figure out it was a bad filter on the phone line. Once it was removed my speed jumped from under 1 Mbps to over 5.5.

My best suggestion would to be to go and get a Netgear. I'll probably get skewered for that, but the install issues with Cisco stuff has become really painful.
If you switched from another brand to the linksys, there's your problem.

Play around with channels as well, sometimes that helps.
