Default Padilla Habano Artisan- What do you guys think

Interesting looking cigar to say the least. Only found one review, and it was favorable. other than that, I haven't really found any other threads about it. Just wondering who has tried it and what did you think. Been looking at them for a while, debating on trying it.

I have some that have been in the humi for about 6 months and recently tried the first one. It was a good cigar, well made and had a good but not great burn. I am a Padilla fan for sure but for taste Artisan is not their best to me but certainly not bad by any means. I bought them on a very good CI special to try but would not pay full price for them. Really good looking cigar. Certainly worth trying for sure but would not invest in a huge quantity before a trial. I would say appearance is a 10 and everything else is 8 - 8.5.

Hmmm The Padilla Artisan...

It's the only Padilla that is a must have for me. In fact I have been buying the Padilla 10 pk samplers on cbid, selling the other 9 just to get them. Last week they showed up up on cbid again and I was able to snag 2 fivers.

Very mild, creamy and a great in the morning type smoke. It does not pair well IMO with strong food/drink. I have accumulated ~14 of these puppies and always snag them when I can.

When I first read this thread the other day, I was wondering if the OP was talking about the Burberry. I bought a couple of these at a local B&M a few months ago on a lark (they looked cool) and was pleasantly surprised when I smoked them.

This is one of the few RP cigars that I will go out of my way to find...

RP? They're not a Rocky Patel cigar. Did you mean DP, as in Don Pepin?

Yep Burberry = Artisan. They pop up on cbid every now and again. I just scored another fiver I would have scored another but the cigar budget is shot for Feb. Damn I hate letting these slip by.

This cigar looks interesting I really hope I can get my hands on it. I've only had a few barber poles but this takes it to a whole different level.

Well, I won a box of 5 of them on Cbid the other night. Should get them Mon or Tues along with my box of RP Vintage 90 Robustos. Looking forward to trying it!

BTW- Seems weird that they sell them as both 5 packs and boxes of 5. Why not just sell them all in the box if they only come in boxes of 5.
