Puerto Rico? Travel tips?
Going for a wedding in March, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. But also want to check out San Juan, they are a short drive apart. Most interested in good food, but looking for any tips, things to see, etc. I should have about a full day and a half to go around and sightsee, eat, smoke, etc. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks for the tips guys. Bio bay looks awesome, that will be a priority. I will definitely be bringing my own cigars...and ones for my family (this is the Cuban side of my family at the wedding, my cousin is the groom). I should probably bring about five boxes, but that might attract to much attention at the security checkpoints.
I am not the one getting married my friend. |

Re: Puerto Rico? Travel tips?
I work with a fellow from Puerto Rico and he had this suggestion:
Tell him to go to the beach at Boqueron. It is a public beach not far from Ponce. |

Unforunately I lost the coin toss and wound up with the top bunk and got drunk on rum, rolled out of bed, and cracked my head on the concrete floor and suffered a drunken concussion. Last memory I have of an otherwise fun trip.

Old San Juan is a must see. We spent a day there just walking around. I don't remember the name but there is this cool hotel in the heart of town that was in a converted monastery. It had a fabulous restaurant across the street and one in the courtyard. Old San Juan was really a blast.

Seth,
Does this tell my age or what? Here is a song from my Disco days. Came to mind with this thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCn24kadCfU See if you can live through the very, very long intro and wait for the words. "Eastern Airlines......" What a name from the past. It comes in just before the 2.5 minute mark.
