Default thinking of getting one of these

I am thinking of buying one of these to put on the front porch or in the shed for those days when it's cold outside. Thankfully in Florida it usually doesn't get all that cold so I think the single burner as opposed to the double will do just fine. The difference in the price is almost double from the single to the double. My dad has one of the double ones and he rarely lights the second burner in his shed. The single one is $39.00 at Tractor Supply or Home Depot. I think Home Depot only has it online. Anyone have one of these, and what do you think about it? I know Dave posted a pic on the double somewheres and said he has one (I think)

thanks

Greg, I have a three burner, and a double (square burner). They both come in super handy when Im having a smoke in the garage, but youll probably only need the single. The triple is a bit overkill unless ive got a bunch of people in the garage.

Oh, btw, you Floridians are candy-asses. Your "cold" is our beach weather!!

I know it's colder up there than here, but................. it's gonna freeze for like 8 nights straight (possibly breaking the record for consecutive freezes) and you know that the humidity makes it feel lots colder here. I know lots of folks don't believe it but I have been in Mass when it's 25 for a high in the daytime, and walked around with just a flannel shirt on. Here if it's 25 you don't walk around with just a flannel shirt on. It's more damp hence it feels colder.

I just got the double burner one. Wondering if you have any concern about Carbon Monoxide? What do you do for ventilation?

Anytime you are burning a fossil fuel you should be concerned about carbon monoxide. You must have some time of ventilation even if its just a door cracked a few inches. The problem with CO is that by the time you notice a probelm it could be too late.

These work great, Ratters got a double for the garage and works like a charm.

Yeah, works great at melting my jacket and torching my sweat pants! Don't stand too close folks, don't ask me how I know.

I was able to toast the end of my cigar so it could be considered a 'multi-tool.'

I was over at the Dec.5th Herf @ Trishields and Dave had a double. That thing put out a lot of heat and was very nice. I would suggest it.

Burns pretty clean I think. Never had an issue in the shed at my dad's. Safe for indoor or outdoor use according to a couple internet pages about them.

I've been toying with getting one of those for a long time. Gets so cold here in the winter with the humidity and all I have is a porch to sit on.

If you get one, let us know how you liked it
