Need a newb that writes reviews... (Part 2)
READ THIS CAREFULLY!
I'd like a newb that writes reviews and enjoys cigars for a little blind taste test fun. You need to have around 100 posts, at least 1 or 2 trader feedbacks (a send and receive in the NST, for instance) and to have written some reviews already. I'd like it if you're fairly new to smoking and just trying new stuff. You'd be obligated to write reviews and enjoy some cigars.. that's about it (painful, eh?). Post here why you should be the one and link some of your reviews. The way you write your reasons will be considered too... |

Re: Need a newb that writes reviews... (Part 2)
From the other thread
I am quite a n00b, but I do enjoy trying new smokes and I love sharing my experience with everybody. I don't do much research on the reviews I have done here, because I don't really care what other folks say about a certain cigar or brand, my review should be how I feel about the cigar. I'm trying to add new reviews every couple days, and I think pictures really help show how a cigar burned, came apart, smoked, etc.... Perhaps by the time the next round starts I'll have the necessary post count to be considered. http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showth...698#post662698 http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25224 http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25320

From the other thread:
I'm not really a noob anymore, but I'm not as well versed as some of the members here... Great thread, I really enjoy reading it and I'd love to be considered. aj |

Re: Need a newb that writes reviews... (Part 2)
I'm a noob compared to most, have some trade history, and write reviews. Really enjoyed the other thread too....great read!
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=24382 http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=20190 I'm constantly reading cigar reviews and forums and trying new sticks. I've got a wish list longer than my wallet, and I'm on seasonal layoff from work until January...so you could say I've got the time! I've never reviewed any "mystery" smokes that I can remember and would be interested to see how my palate is developing. My current favorite smokes are Trinidad Reyes, Padilla 1932, Padron Anni, and anything Don Pepin Garcia. I like long walks on the beach, disco dancing, and cramming ships into glass bottles!!! I'll be your Huckleberry! Last edited by bleedingshrimp; 12-01-2009 at 05:52 AM. |

Re: Need a newb that writes reviews... (Part 2)
Dan,
I have been smoking for little bit and am still trying to find out what I like. There are so many cigars out there that I haven't tried. I love cigars and have on average about 5 to 10 a week. I am still not convinced that CC's are the be all end all of cigars. Although I have had some good ones and one great one, most of them have been let downs. I love to read reviews and have done one myself. http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showth...299#post579299 I loved the first DBall Newbie BTT and it was awesome. It was the only thread I subscribed to. When I am contemplating purchasing cigars, I always check the reviews here first. I value you guys' opinions. I would love to get the chance to participate in this taste test. Thanks for considering me.

Awesome! Don't go randomly post-whoring to boost it up, though... that 100 number is open to negotiation.

Oh... and you need to be able to review a cigar a week... that's the other big thing.
