Local Cigar factory
being a newbie and a yankee i walk into this local shop to buy some sticks;
there is like 1 counter it has maybe a dozen types of stix all with the labels of the store, i ask the guy is that all u sell is ur house brand , he replies yes, we hand roll our own, i say cmon this is Long island, not Tampa. He leads me thru the lounge area opens the door to this giant humidor, there i see a few hispanic gentleman watching soccer rolling these gorgeous stogies. i was in heaven. i bought 5 or 6 to try , one was their habano special edition maduro ,which i tried as soon as i got home, was a really nice smoke. anybody else have some cool stories http://www.littlecigarfactory.com |

Mmmmmmmm! I had a similar experience in NYC... except it was a small shop and the rollers were right when you walked in.

Re: Local Cigar factory
There's a couple of little places in and around NYC that i've visited that do this actually. It's pretty cool to watch the process in person and get a few sticks right off the table.

If you ever get down to the Miami, FL area it is well worth a little side trip to the El Credito Factory in Little Havana where they still do things in the true vintage style, also check out the aging room if you get there sometime:
