World's oldest man, WW1 vet, dies
I thought this was a very interesting and touching article:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2...=HFMostPopular My mom's dad was in France in 1918 and got gassed with mustard gas. 1918 was also when an estimated 50 to 100 million people all around the world died from the "Spanish Flu". My grandmother was pregnant with my mom and caught the flu. She then got a notice that her husband was missing in action. They found grandpa in a tent hospital and he survived but suffered with respiratory problems the rest of his life. Anyway, reading stories such as this is a reminder of the millions of people who have fought in wars throughout the years to fight oppression. God bless them all. WyoBob |
