Same Smokes?
It just struck me that I never smoked the same cigar back to back. Same size, shape, wrapper, etc.
Seems kind of odd, after smoking multiple sticks many times. Anyone else this way? If you have smoked two in a row what cigar was it? |

Re: Same Smokes?
I have done it a couple of times. I don't by boxes though so I don't usually have a stock of the same cigar on hand.

Re: Same Smokes?
Nope. I'm still trying to go through "one of each" before I settle on my favorite, then that's all I'll smoke.
Natch this will never happen, but I have such a variety in my coolerdors that I never feel the want to smoke the same cigar twice in a row.

Re: Same Smokes?
Great question and comment John!
I personally think it is a very GOOD idea to smoke the same type of cigar back to back as it allows you to pick up on all the different flavours and inconsistencies in the cigar. I recently smoked two Montecristo #4's in a row and I really enjoyed the experience. When recently on holiday I smoked a PSD4 for several days in a row. But tasting the same cigar each day I really could identify all the flavours the cigar had to offer. |

Re: Same Smokes?
I cannot think of a time I ever have. I enjoy variety, but I may have to give it a whirl to see if it allows me to pick up on anything I might have missed previously.

Re: Same Smokes?
I have done it several times...reasons why I have done it include: comparing different wrapper colors from the same cigar, year, etc just from a different cab...and sometimes a cigar is just so damn good that I have to have another one...

Re: Same Smokes?
Never even considered smoking the same vitola in sequence. I just keep ramping it up as I go along. Could be an interesting experiment someday.
But not tonight.

Re: Same Smokes?
In the last few weeks I have smoked either a Tampa Sweetheart #500 Maduro, or a Short Story back to back. Back to back to back even.

Re: Same Smokes?
Twice now. I smoked two AVO XO's back to back one day when I discovered them. Another time on a long drive with my father I had two Davidoff Special R's. He was having something else while I was having the first, and said he wanted to try it--right as the nub was going out the window. So I just lit the second.
