Back in the Air!!
After a 12 year hiatus from flying planes, a friend of mine took me up today for a 2 hour jaunt over northeastern Colorado. We flew over our rocket launch sites, did some manuevers then headed out for some touch and gos.
I was really happy to find out that I can still manuever the plane (Cessna 172) within plus or minus 50 feet on the altitude and dead on the heading. I was also estatic when he let me land a couple times. They weren't the prettiest but they were still pretty darn good. In celebration, I packed me a Really Awesome Special Sigar for the drive home. But forgot my cutter and lighter. I've still not lit it up, yet. Now I wonder about getting a new medical...... |

Re: Back in the Air!!
Hey, bro'- congrats! I went flying today as well, in a Cessna 177RG- altho I didn't handle the controls. Jut took a quick jaunt to Columbus, OH, for a GTG with some folks from my airshow board.
I fondly recall my herf with you and Fred!
