Default John Gruden to Replace Tony Kornhieser on MNF

Well, that's kinda interesting. Wonder how many F - Bombs Chucky will let fly, on National TV?

Seems Kornheiser has a fear of flying, and that's why he's giving it up.

Here is a link....

I never liked Kornheiser on MNF.

I just dislike Cornholer that much!

Believe it or not, Gruden is quite the decent sports personality..... despite his apparent lack of personality on the sideline.

I hear they're giving Gruden a cue card to cover half his face with during the booth shots.

I really like him on PTI but I'm glad to see him off of MNF.. His personality just does not fit on MNF.

I couldn't be happier to see Kornhieser gone. I think Gruden will bring an interesting dynamic to the show.

Gruden could coach, but everyone has their own professional choices. I am sure he didn't have a shortage of head coaches around the league offering him positions on their staff.

I am hesitant to say that a former coach will make a good commentator. It seems that there needs to be some seperation from the game before jumping back into calling games of people you used to coach against. Plus, wasn't Kornheiser the color-commentator? Not sure Gruden fits that role very well, because he certainly won't be play-by-play, but I am sure he will have good insights. I will withhold judgement until I see him cover a game I suppose.

...With a team that Tony Dungy built. That team was going to win no matter who was coaching. Gruden lucked out that year, then he fell flat for the the rest of his coaching career.

You all really dont think he can coach? I always thought he had a ton of personality on the sideline and was a good coach...just going through some rough patches

A turnip would be an improvement over Kornheiser.

This is soooo true.

At least I can sit back and watch MNF now, Kornheiser was just so damn irritating.
