Default What have you found inside of your cigars?

I know this topic pops up from time to time but after last nights suprise I couldn't resist posting up.

My third cigar of the evening was a Maria Mancini which I have had resting for about 3 years now. Nice dark wrapper... blah blah blah.... to the point-

I clipped the cap and the cutter did not separate from the cigar? I was thinking WTF? As I force the two apart I see something white? (Sorry the pictures are bad, they were taken with a camera phone)

Oh yeah, this is weird shite. I pull the end that is sticking outside of the cigar and out comes a nugget of rolled up paper towel.

After further discussion we came to the conclusion that it was probably a dingle-berry.

I smoked the cigar anyway and it was great.

What kind of garbage have you found inside your cigars?

Fortunately, so far, only tobacco. Did have one that I pulled a pretty good sized stem out of though.

Lets see......A piece of paper, red plastic thread, blue plastic thread, mystery stuff (have no idea what it was and don't care to know either.), five strands of human hair(about 3 inches long and reddish-brown sticking out the foot), and my personal favorite: a small metal nail (it was in a torpedo, I found it after I cut the tip off the cigar and the nail was stuck in my Xikar.)

Ive had a string run the full length of cigar, at least it came out with no problems. I guess you can say the cigar was "laced"

I smoked something that was bigger than a gnat but smaller than one of those long-legged mosquito things. It was rolled up just under the wrapper and flared up nicely when it lit.

I smoked it good. I think it was in a Carlos Torano. Added a bit of body...

I grabbed a LFD one day when I was working and looked at the foot and saw something white. So I started trying to pull it out and I noticed there was more. So I grabbed a cutter and started hacking away. Now at his point I was so damn curious. Not sure what it was, kinda looked like a cobweb rolled up. X10!

It was close to a 1/3 of the way in the cigar.

I have had this happen a couple times as well.

The first time I remember very well from an RP 92 several years back and again on an CC Peso.

It was exactly like you say, a cobweb...

I wonder if this could be related to beetles, either pupae or larva?
Kinda gross anyway you look at it.

This might explain some of the "flavors" mentioned in a lot of the reviews.

Nothing but tobacco. I did find a few big stems in cigars that usually are known for being top not construction with no stems...a bit disappointing, but everything can't be perfect.
