Pipe finish

I have a new Savinelli natural.

I was thinking of a light coat of oil for a finish, and then some carnuba wax after that.

What oils would work? Thinking of a light coat of olive oil. Then the wax a couple weeks later.

Good plan or not??
Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

I've heard of people using Olive Oil before and they turn out nicely. Mineral Oil would work as well.

I never oiled or waxed mine and it darkened very nicely. I think I've seen some picks of Sav. Nat's that have turned out gorgeous after a little oil/wax work. Definitely post some picks when you get if finished up.
