Opinion: A belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

The OPs quote contains truth to it. History has shown that you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. So if that is true, is it a fact?

I don't think an argument of semantics is needed. An opinion can still have some truth to it and not be fact.

But back to the original post, I think it is a really good quote

Its a quote and lets leave it at that folks. If you choose to believe it to be fact that's fine. If you have differring opinions that's fine as well.
