Thought this was interesting.
I received an email from NHCigars today one of the brands caught my eye due to the odd name, Ortsac.
"The ORTSAC Cigars are one of the newer lines to enter the cigar market recently, and they feature a very interesting background. Operation Ortsac was the project name of a possible invasion of Cuba that was planned by the United States military in 1962. This codename came directly from the former president of Cuba, Fidel Castro by reversing his surname, Castro." |

Colonel: Okay, what shall we call the operation? General: How about Operation Kill Castro? Colonel: No no no, we can't call it that, are you crazy? General: Well how about just Operation Castro then? Colonel: That's just too obvious. Janitor: How about you spell Castro backwards and call it Operation Ortsac? General: What? What is this man doing in here? Get him out of here! |

Re: Thought this was interesting.
These sticks aren't very good IMHO. Our shop briefly carried them when they brought in the Hammer and Sickle line....the H&S are much better...but I feel like a traitor smoking them.
I also heard a rumor that Henke Kelner blended the H&S...dunno if that's true or not, though. I could see the similarity in flavor profile. |
