Dippin' your smokes in a drink
My buddy who BOMBED me mentioned that he likes to dip his smoke into Cognac while smoking it.....I told him I had never heard of this, he said that hardcore smokers would probably look down on this, but he said he will smoke how he wants.
Opinions? I can see doing it for the flavor alone, but I couldn't see doing it myself or making a habit of it.

Re: Dippin' your smokes in a drink
I've never done it, but I could be talked in to trying it. I'd never tell anyone what to smoke or how to smoke it and that includes dipping the end in a drink.
Now egg whites. I'd definitely tell them not to dip in egg whites.

Never done it but I have seen my old man do it. Mind you he was quite intoxicated when he did it.
While enjoy a drink and a cigar I think they are best left apart. A good cigar has so many different flavors I could only imagine it ruining it.

...this. Soggy sticks and tobacco flakes in your beverage; not my kind of entertainment.

If he likes it, he likes it. More power to him. It's something I'm not gonna do though.

My grandpa likes to do this sometimes. I've tried it with him and while it wasn't bad at all, it wasn't anything to write home about.

Well at least some of you have heard of this.....I don't think I could do it with a $10-$15 stick or anything, but might try it with a $1.50 stick.

Re: Dippin' your smokes in a drink
When I was in Qatar one of the cigar bars there did this. The girl would cut your cigar and then dip it in Cognac/brandy and light it for you. I tried it the first time because I didnt know they did it. After that I learned how to tell her I would cut it myself. I am not a fan of overly wet cigars to begin with so it was not in my wheel house. Some of the guys preferred it though.

Re: Dippin' your smokes in a drink
I tried when I first started smoking cigars. All it did was mess up the drink with tobacco flakes and I really couldn't get the Cognac flavor with the smoke (maybe my inexperience) for me it turned into a mess and I wouldn't recommend it but if your friend likes it then good for him. I'm not his judge nor am I a snob. My advice is try it and see if you enjoy it.

Re: Dippin' your smokes in a drink
I used to do this back when I was drinking heavily before I really enjoyed cigars. To me, it was a way to cover up the taste of the cigar.
I haven't tried it since I really began enjoying cigars, nor am I tempted to.

Don't think a cigar would be good dipped in Dr Pepper
