Still Watching My Back

Beer & bourbon tasting
Guys.
I have always been a "Foody". Yeah I'm fat as a house and have to cut back and all that, but I still love food - especially really good ethnic food. But a couple of months ago I started a series on my FB page called "BLUE COLLAR BEER & BOURBON REVIEWS" and they have been a lot of fun. Today I got together with Tim Podwika from www.podmancigars.com to share a Polish Meal with my mom and dad. We cracked open the highly anticipated DogfishHead "Noble Rot" and had it with our perrogies and cabbage and borscht. Unfortunately the Noble Rot was a let down, but thats alright. The purpose of this thread was to begin the planning stage of a really special, and ANNUAL: BLUE COLLAR BEER & BROURBON HERF. 1. WHERE: my suggestion is Cuban Crafters in Miami on NW 7th Street. 2. DATE: As long as LenguaMore, MurphysLaw, Tim Podwika, Thor Nielson (Of Cigar Press) and the original boyz that brought me into ASYLUM are present, than any date will work. 3. WHAT IT DOOO: JD is going to supply DogfishHead Beer, Liga Privada T52, Liga Privada No.9, and UNDERCROWN for a group BEER REVIEW. Looking for some dates that may work. Best, JD |

Re: Beer & bourbon tasting
Wow I wish this wasn't soo far away from The Wood in PA! Sounds like you guys will have a blast!
FYI Here is a pairing I had last night, these two are perfect compliments. You gotta try it! The chocolate taste form the beer was just the right taste without being over powering. I sipped the beer, and it almost felt like a chocolate wine at one point. I couldn't make up mind mind what part of the pairing I prefered more, that's how I know it was a great combo. As much as I love beer, it is hard to find a better pair than coffee and an LP
