Default Anyone remember Diablo cigars?

I used to love the Picantes. Anyone have any idea if there are some still floating around? It was a great little smoke with a hint of spice.

I'm down to my last one or two Diablo....bigger, I think than the Picante, however....I bought 4 boxes during Famous' bogo clearance - must have been about five years ago

I remember that sale very well! I'm down to my last one that I'll probably just hang onto for the memories. I smoked my second to last one about a year ago, and it had lost almost
all of its spice.

I seem to remember reading a long time ago that the company simply went defunct

I don't remember if there was another cigar with the same or similar name, but the Diablos being talked about here were made by General cigar. They were simply discontinued 7-8 years ago IIRC.

I think that was the beginning of my love affair with dark, heavily fermented Ecuadoran habano wrappers

I think I have one left in the belicoso size. I smoked one a few months ago, and they are nowhere near as strong as a Punisher.

Just smoked my last Picante a few months back. These things were little firecrackers when they first came out.

Yep, bought boxes of the Picantes (5" x 44) at the closeout BoGo's on Famous.
Still have about 1/2 box left. They still go well with red wine. And ouzo.
But not at the same sitting.

Did they have black bands with a little red chili pepper on them or something like that?

I remember those. Had a few years back. Didn't make a lasting impression undoubtedly.
