Re: my corn cob stash.......
Very nice- but aren't cobs supposed to me simply smoked to destruction and replaced? A 250 buck pipe is nice, but you can't beat a cob for ease and simplicity- and price!

Re: my corn cob stash.......
Thought I was looking at my cob collection for a second At least I'm not the only one who bought MacArthur and not use it yet. Nice collection!
Those stems on ebay are great. Some people try to bash the quality of them vs the forever stems even though they come from the exact same supplier. And for what it is worth, the ebay seller makes some nice bamboo tampers too. |

i'm not sure what other people are looking for in a stem.......

Re: my corn cob stash.......
A couple twist of a fine grain sand paper can get those stems to fit the way "you" like. I had the same issue, but then I realized the all MM's shanks are not created equal. I have had a stem be tight in one shank and damn near fall out of another.

These are what I could round up for a photo ;-)
I know there are more somewhere...and my new Santia is still in transit. The Pony Express (top right) and Legend (bottom right) get the most use & I still haven't used the MacArthur either. LOL |
