Concur! After you buy this one - one that will work flawlessly for years - then go out and buy a fancy Colibri that dies in two months.

Forgot to add.... DON'T buy a Colibri Firebird. Those things are junk. It worked for 5 lights then quit.

Top 3 lighters that I've used:

ST Dupont X-tend
ST Dupont Ligne 2
Blazer PB-207

Honorable mention goes to the Solo Trek / Blazer Venture (dual flames)

I've been using an old Zippo with the Blazer insert (about $10) with no problems.

I like the Colibri Firebirds, I have 4 of them and they all work everytime, most reliable lighters I have. Sometimes people misuse them and they stop working, but all I do is fill them up and they work everytime. Also like Nibo and Vector. I also have a Xikar Executive that is smaller but works well.

You can never have too many cigars, they are like an investment in good times.

Dunhill or ST Dupont on the expensive end.

Any lighter that you can refill that uses a flint on the cheap end. Quartz lighters are hit and miss.

Stay away from Prometheus (sp) and Colibri.

I have been using my Blazer insert for over a year, and I have not had one problem with it.

The ST Dupont X-tend for dress up and special events. Picture James Bond in black tie type lighter. Very expensive but hands down the best lighter I have ever owned.

For day to day use get a Blazer. I have the CG-001 and the Stratus. Love them both and use them every day. The CG-001 at home and the Stratus when I'm out and about. I fill my Stratus once a week and it seem to always last until the next refill. The CG-001 you can see the fluid level.

Watch for group buys. Good way to pick them up at a discount.
